Young Buck is an American rapper born on March 15, 1981. His real name is David Darnell Brown. Young Buck was a former member of the hip hop group named G-Unit based in New York City

Young Buck’s Early Life

Young Buck became a rapper at the age of 12 and started studio recording when he was just 14. He was spotted by Brian Williams when he was 16.  He started recording with the Cash Money Crew. Later, he left the Cash Money Crew with Juvenile. He then joined UTP Records and later with G-Unit

Young Buck’s Career in G-Unit

Young Buck was featured by 50 Cent on a track called Blood Hound in his commercially successful debut album Get Rich or Die Tryin. He later featured on Beg for Mercy, G-Unit’s debut album which was certified 2x Platinum. Young Buck also released his own album called Straight Outta Cashville in 2004 and another one in 2007 called Buck the World.
In 2008, in an interview, 50 Cent mentioned that Young Buck not a member of the group G-unit anymore.

Albums which Young Buck launched

Young Buck released 2 albums in his career. The first one was named Straight Outta Cashville, released in 2004, just after completing one year in G-Unit.

The album featured a few guest appearances from Stat Quo, Lil Flip, David Banner, Ludacris, 50 Cent, Kon Artis and a few others. It was produced by Three 6 Mafia, Lil Jon, and Kon Artis amongst others.

The album had very little promotion because Young Buck was arrested for assault for the VIBE Awards incident.

The second album of Young Buck was released on March 27, 2007. It was named Buck the World, which was a play on the “Fuck the World”. The producers were Dr. Dre, Jazze Pha, Polow da Don and others.

This album debuted No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and topped the R&B/Hip Hop Album Charts.

The VIBE Awards incident

During this incident, on November 15, 2004, Jimmy James Johnson punched Dr. Dre in the back of his head and ran towards the exit. This happened because Dr. Dre refused to give Johnson an autograph as he was going on stage. Then a braw started and Young Buck was suspected for stabbing Johnson in the chest with a knife. Later, he was arrested a Santa Monica Police Department after a video evidence was found. Eventually, Young Buck surrendered himself and was sentenced for up to 8 years in prison for felony assault. Later in 2005, it was reported that a deal was struck that would see Young Buck avoid a trial.

Controversy with 50 Cent

In 2008, 50 Cent officially kicked out Young Buck out of G-Unit. Later, Young Buck appeared in a music video of The Game, who was a former rival of 50 Cent.

50 Cent then leaked a conversation between him and Young Buck which took place over the phone. This conversation showed that Young Buck owed 50 Cent money and that was the reason he was kicked out.
