Christian Ward was born on September 9, 1985 and is famously known as Yung Berg, because that is his stage name. He is an american rapper from Chicago. R&B singer Junior was featured in Yung Berg first single “Sexy Lady”. DMX’s Bloodline Records have previously signed him as Ice Berg. Yung Berg have featured on Exit Wounds soundtrack. On August 12, 2008, his debut album Look What You Made Me was released which is a joint venture between Koch Records and Epic Records.

DMX’s had signed Yung Berg at the age of 15 years only but his parents pulled it off and sent him to a military boarding school in 2001 in Montana. Then he moved to Los Angles after a few years when his schooling ended, to restart his career.

Then in 2005, Yung Berg grabbed in an opportunity to work with Chicago rapper Shawnna and Disturbing tha Peace member as a writer/ vocal and a hype man in the studio.

Soon Yung Berg was taking bigger moves. He established Yung Boss imprint, ghostwrote for various rappers and production team, Yung Bosses, recorded tracks for Shawnna, Memphis Bleek, Juelz Santana and with Eve. “Sexy Lady became a local hit when he sent it out on L.A. radio. He finally settles with Epic Records even though he was approach numerous labels. Then on July 2007, the six track EP Almost Famous was released. “sexy Can I” was a hit single track also featuring Ray J. And in summer of 2008, Yung Berg’s full length debut album Look What You Made Me released. Single “ Sexy Lady” charted to number 18 on Billboard 100 and his third single “The Business” which featured Casha peaked to number 33.

Yung Berg’s Awards

He was nominated for “Best Ringtone” and “People’s Champ Award” for the track “The Business” by BET Hip-Hop Awards 2008.
